Wyndham Garden Galena Hotel & Day Spa

The hotel was great.The continental breakfast was outstanding always a hot breakfast served on regular plates with regular silverware and cloth napkins, no plastic, or paper here! The hotel and staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. They are all very pleasant and accommodating. The pool was lovely to swim in the water was warm and the pool n pool area was very clean. I especially liked that they had a full service spa right inside the hotel.The only drawback was it was not open on weekends. This hotel is very upscale but at a reasonable price. We will stay there again the next time we come to Galena.

This is excellent hotel. I do not know why it has only two stars instead of four. They are currently installing the elevator (hotel has two floors). We had a room on a first floor. It was very big, clean, modern, beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. They have a machine that makes perfect pancakes. All you need to do is to press number of pancakes you want and wave a hand. In a minute they begin to come 😊. But the best is that hotel is located in close proximity to the center of Galena. We were there on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we could find a parking, on weekends I assume it will be hard to do. We took excellent tour on a trolley. For a scenic drive and a lunch with a view drive to nearby ski resort (6 miles).

There is a very large pool and hot tub which was nice to relax in. the fitness area was a good place to get in some cardio. The bar was a nice place to have a drink after a long day and the bartender had people laughing and having a good time after a long day of driving in snowy conditions. it also has different kinds of seats which is nice if you have back issues.

It was a very nice place to stay. At check-in we were able to change our room to the ground level, instead of second floor. The was great especially due to the elevator just being installed and not working yet. The rooms were great, and also the outside sitting area. Were able to sit, relax and play cards, & have a few drinks :)

Clean not fancy but very clean. Great bedding, ice machine. x The breakfast is what you expected for complimentary but fine.
